Miracle of America Unplugged…
After our Billings, Montana performance we meet up for a little after party with our cast, crew and sponsors of the concert. One of the sponsors was sick and could not make it to the show. So we decided to give her a concert of her own….and taped it to share with all of you for a sneak peak. This is as raw and as unplugged as it gets. Sit back and enjoy!!!

We will be posting a series of Unplugged singing performances from our “Miracle of America” concert. This first one that I am posting goes with the story of “A Plea for Prayer”
A PLEA FOR PRAYER
It was during the crisis period that 81 year-old Benjamin Franklin made his famous plea for prayer:
Gentlemen, Gentlemen, Franklin plead, the little progress we have made in the last weeks is a melancholy proof of the imperfections of the human understanding; groping as it were in the dark, how has it happened that we have not sought the Father of lights to illuminate our understanding? In the beginning of the war with Britain we had daily prayer in this [very] room, and asked for divine protection. Our prayers were heard; and they were graciously answered. And have we now forgotten that powerful Friend? Or do we imagine that we no longer need His assistance?
I have lived, sir, a long time; and the longer I live the more convincing proofs I see of this truththat God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assured, in the sacred writings, that except the Lord build the house they labor in vain that build it.
I, therefore, beg leave to move, Franklin continued: That hereafter prayers, imploring the assistance of Heaven and its blessing on our
deliberations, be held in this assembly
every morning before we proceed
Franklins plea had a sobering effect on the delegates and they set about their task with greater determination.
